This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Lewis Hamilton in the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix weekend.

Hamilton’s ties to Brazil, such as his worship of Ayrton Senna, have always played a part in the English driver’s helmet collection for races at Interlagos and 2019 was not the exception. After achieving his sixth Formula 1 championship at Austin in the previous race, Hamilton elected to make changes to his head protector’s design.

While the helmet’s main colors remained white and candy red, the back was painted in canary yellow. The apple red wings on each side remained, while a sixth star was added to commemorate Hamilton’s first race as a six-time Formula 1 World Champion.

In the top of the helmet, the Brazilian national flag can be seen, while the 44 number is painted in yellow. The back features Senna’s iconic helmet design with the Brazilian Cristo Redentor and the phrase “Still I rise” is positioned below the figure. Six stars can be seen on the back of the helmet, while a “Ham” inscription is placed above Hamilton’s inspirational quote.

Hamilton started the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix in second place behind Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. Like it happened in 2018, the pair fought for the victory, but it was Verstappen who prevailed this time.

As Hamilton was trying to recover his second place from Verstappen’s teammate, Alex Albon, the two collided and the English champion admitted responsibility for the crash. A five-second penalty saw Hamilton finish the race in seventh place.
